Homeless Services United

2024 Gala and Awards Reception

Thursday, September 12, 2024

Dear Friends,

As the executive director of HSU, I am inspired by the day in and day out accomplishments of our member organizations, the staff and the people we help.  We work under challenging circumstances in challenging times.  I am proud to lead the only organization advocating for those who work specifically in homeless services.  Our work pushes for change in policies and practice in a large and complicated field, putting forth solutions to improve our operations and ultimately the lives of those we serve.  We are continually building dreams and transforming lives.

That is why this event is so important to HSU's operations.  Every dollar raised helps us in our efforts to advocate for and address the needs of NYC's homeless populations and our members work to help those in crisis move to stability.  We are ensuring that our nonprofit members are paid on time to remain fiscally strong.  We are providing our government partners with critical information on how policies and procedures are working in the field.  We are promoting best practices and support front line staff.

Help HSU with our important work and come to an exciting event where we will acknowledge all our hard work and network with partners from across the field of homeless services.

See you there!
